SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (11/1)- On Thursday morning Joe Biden stated, "North Korea fired two missiles in a deliberate attempt to provoke its neighbors and intimidate the United States — again. It was the 12th such test the regime has conducted since May in violation of UN resolutions, and which President Trump has down-played. After the latest round of de-nuclearization talks collapsed almost immediately in Stockholm earlier this month, these tests are a stark reminder that Donald Trump — a self-proclaimed deal maker — has achieved nothing but a string of spectacular diplomatic failures that are making the American people less safe.
His “love letters” to murderous dictator Kim Jong Un have delivered little more than made-for-TV moments. North Korea today has more fissile material and more capability than when talks began, and Trump has given away our leverage — including suspending military exercises with our allies and granting Kim co-equal status at two summits with the president of the United States of America — for practically nothing in return. Now a more confident Kim is ticking up the pace of his violations because he believes he can pressure Trump to bend to his will. There is no deal, because there is no strategy and no patience for the kind of tough, hard diplomacy that actually produces result..."
The Yonhap News Agency is reporting that, More than six out of 10 South Koreans support an idea of setting up a special unit to probe alleged corruption by high-ranking public officials, a poll showed Wednesday. In a Realmeter survey of 500 people aged 19 and older, 61.5 percent of the respondents expressed their support for the proposed establishment of the agency while 33.7 percent opposed it. The portion of supporters was higher than the 51.4 percent tallied in a separate similar poll conducted on Oct. 18. The creation of a separate investigative agency is one of President Moon Jae-in's suggestions in the wake of the arrest of Justice Minister Cho Kuk. But many political leaders are voicing concern that the measure is simply a measure to solidify political power, upsetting the constitutional checks and balances in the country.
South Korean President Moon Jae-In stated that “Under this administration, the prosecutors’ power to carry out independent investigations has been greatly strengthened, but many have called for reforms in the exercise of prosecutorial authority, standard investigation procedures, and organizational culture...." Moon also gave explicit “instructions to the prosecutor-general” to quickly devise a reform plan “while listening to the voice of the public and canvassing diverse opinions [in your organization], including young prosecutors, female prosecutors, the criminal division, and the trial division.”
President Moon Jae-In also called for the expansion of powers, despite the arrest of his former Justice Minister's wife , stating, "Not only the prosecutors but also the Justice Ministry and I as president must humbly listen to the public’s demand for prosecutorial reform and reflect upon our inadequacies. I think that the steps proposed by the justice minister to reinforce the prosecutors’ criminal division and trial division and to revise the rules for disclosing the identity of criminal suspects are all necessary measures for prosecutorial reform...”
Law School professor In-Hwan Park, former president of Kun-Kuk University Law School in Seoul, said about the protests, The supposed peace talks between North and South Korea have failed, amidst reports of the vast human rights abuses in North Korea, and the unconditional support President Moon Jae-In has to the regime of Kim Jong Un, despite the continued nuclear weapons program and the horrible human rights abuses against Christians. The socialism and communist policies are in full display with the current scandal under formerJustice Minister Cho Kuk. They have deceived the people and are slowly destroying the Korea 's Liberty Democracy system of government...."
In a class-action lawsuit against the Korean government, "A key part of the prosecutorial reform being talked about frequently by the Moon Jae-In regime is the installation f a new investigation agency of high-ranking public officials (PIA). The issue of installing a public investigation agency (PIA) in Korea, began with a petition for legislation of anti-corruption that includes the installment of the PIA, which was filed in 1996 under the Kim Young-sam government. It was filed by radical left-wing groups like the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy (PSPD) led by Secretary-General Park Won-sun...." Furthermore, "This would hurt the impartiality/ independence of the prosecution and accelerate the office becoming a servant of political powers under the control of the PIA, namely the presidency. This will offer a base wherein a dictator with absolute power can wield a reign of terror which is supported by all-time surveillance system over high-ranking officials..."
According to Attorney Ko Young-Joo, former Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, "The proposed of the Department Investigation High-Ranking officials like permanent special prosecutor agency would put into place a Gestapo-like secret police agency into place, that would be used to target political opponents including prominent attorneys, prosecutors, Judicial Judges, politicians and high-ranking government officials under the auspices of criminal investigation, without any ability to regulate or control, except through the office of the Moon Jae-In. They are currently using the injustice scandal that brought down former Justice Minister Cho-Kuk to justify launching political investigations. All the documents that have been obtained by the legislature and the judiciary and prosecutor office are being taken, allowing the executive branch to escape the rule of law. This is simply an attempt by the government to avoid any oversight and to protect Moon Jae-In's policies...."
Attorney Tae Hoon-Kim, President of the Lawyers for Human Rights and the Reunification of Korea also added, "The prosecutor program is a plan to reorganize the government through unconstitutional and undemocratic means. The planned agency would be responsible only to Moon Jae-In, with no oversight by the legislature or the courts, flagrantly going against the idea of checks and balances. The "super-prosecutor" would be like the Gestapo, uncontrollable and unaccountable to anyone in the government..."
Ambassador Lee Jai-Chun, former ambassador to the European Union (EU) and Russia, described the political situation stating, "At present, the Republic of Korea is faced with nearly a state of civil war. The Korean people who strongly support freedom and democracy are struggling to fight against Moon Jae-in regime's scheme to change the government system to socialism or communism. The Moon regime is fundamentally a leftist government who took power in May 2017 after illegally impeaching President Park Geun-hye. Kim Il-sung followers took the positions not only at the Presidential Office but most of the government organizations. The Nation has completely been fascinated by the communist group.
After Pyongchang Winter Olympic Games in February 2018, Moon's popularity rate recorded more than 80 percent, that means ordinary citizens could not understand the real nature of the regime. However, from the beginning of 2019, they have started to feel uneasiness on the Moon's identity and his policy line leaning to pro- North Korea. Moon's behaviors in Foreign Relations, often being criticized as Kim Jung-un's envoy, disarmament in the defense capabilities, disruption of the system of Liberal Democracy and Market Economy etc. all of these facts enlightened the people to realize what was the problem.
Especially, from the day June 11th, 2019 when Pastor Jeon, Kwang -hoon, President of the CCK [Christian Council of Korea], began a sit-down struggle at a tent erected in the vicinity of Blue House in Seoul, shouting "step down, Moon Jae-in", has rapidly turned the situation adversely to Moon. Jeon harshly denounced Moon as a North Korean spy.
Furthermore, "Most of the ordinary citizens could not know the real nature and identity of the Party and members of the party. Especially people are at times confused with political terminologies. These pro-North Korean party members call themselves as democratization generation, as they assert they won the struggle in 1987, when Direct Election of the President was announced in the Constitutional Amendment. However, the terminology of Democracy is not always meaning liberal democracy. Likewise, ordinary people are weak at distinguishing falsehood from truth. The leftists are skillful in disguising themselves with such terms as progressive, democratic, peaceful unification and justice forces.
However, they brand liberal democrats as reactionary, corruptors. Most of young generation was deceived and misled by such propaganda. Nevertheless, there is no result without cause. In conclusion, the Republic of Korea is now at stake , resulting from our oblivion and carelessness for the last 70 years about the persistent North Korean hostility and pro-North Korean leftists' scheme to overthrow the constitutional regime of liberal democracy and market economic system. In this chaotic situation, however, ordinary citizens are now awakened in face of the real nature of Moon Jae-in regime , and are shouting "Forever for Freedom and Democracy" and the international community is watching our resistance movement..."
Former Governor Kim Moon-Soo of Kyung-Ki Do Province stated, "the proposed The Department Investigation for High ranking officials that will investigate and prosecute 7,000 high ranking officials , which would include Goverment Officials, political opponent, attorneys, judges and prosecutors, who would report only to Moon Jae-In. This Gestapo agency would create a situation similar to totalitarian China. Moon Jae-In can appoint anyone he chooses, and controls what investigations they would conduct..."
When asked how the government planned to pay for the program, Attorney Tae Hoon-Kim noted that, "The problem with the proposed permanent prosecutor agency is that while it would be small, there is no realistic way that they could realistically control the judges and prosecutors of the country. It is simply not realistic. Even 1,000 prosecutors, there is no way they could reasonably conduct investigations. The sole purpose of the office seems to go against the democratic checks and balances system laid out in the Constitution. The real purpose seems to be the targeting of judges and prosecutors simply to influence the direction of the government..."
Reverend Paul Kim of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania , Chairman of the Board, Korea Recovery Coalition, noted that, "The establishment of the Department Investigation High-Ranking officials is a way that dictators use to to stay longer in power through fear and intimidation. This will be an evil thing. People have to move against it immediately. Moon Jae-In must be removed from office, because he is a communist and has had a cozy relationship with the North Korean Communist Party since his parents and relatives, who have been involved in the North Korean Communist Party..." Asked about the funding, Kim noted, In an ordinary government there would be budgetary constraints on the government. But in a Communist state like China or North Korea, money is not a problem. The funding is completely controlled by hte government. That is what Moon Jae-In the prosecutor agency. That is why there is no problem with funding!"
In a message to President Donald J. Trump and members of the U.S. Congress, Ko Young-Joo stated, "We, the people of South Korea, love America. We are different from the Moon Jae-In regime. Moon Jae-In is a communist and has been deceiving the people in an effort to overthrow government, and remove U.S. troops from the region under the guise of "reunification". We believe in a strong political alliance between our two countries. We want the continued presence of U.S. troops in the Korean Peninsula. Moon-Jae-In is different because he is a communist. He has been deceiving the people. He is trying to drive American soldiers from Korea. Don't be confused. This is a dangerous time and situation..."
Tae-Hoon-Kim noted, "To Donald Trump and the members of the Congress, right now we are fighting to secure a free democracy and to secure our rights. We need your help and support to secure and protect our rights, especially the independence of the judiciary, rather than submit to Moon Jae-In's control!" It should be noted that attorney Tae-Hoon Kim has filed a class-action lawsuit against President Moon Jae-In, former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, and the members of the Cabinet, citing a violation of constitutional rights...."
In a message to President Donald J. Trump and members of the U.S. Congress, Professor Park In-hwan stated " The White House and US press should have to responded as Serious South Korea's circumstance in October millions of Korean people called out for freedom of South Korea's Liberal Democracy from Moon Regime's Socialism and communist policy... US should not ignore their Shouts and Moon, Jae- In to resign and step down..."
Governor Kim Moon-Soo warned the Trump Administration about the meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, "Don't admire him (Kim Jong Un) He is the Satan of the Korean people. In South Korea, there are over 32,000 people who can attest to this, as defectors from North Korea. Every time you speak your admiration for Kim Jong Un, it drives people crazy and we are upset about that. Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae-In are not good people, and they are going against the democratic way. When you held the summit in Singapore, it was Just before day a time of local elections. The summit sent a terrible message to voters in South Korea. For conservatives, especially in the Korean Liberty Party, the election had disastrous results, hurting conservatives in races nationwide. Next year we will be having elections for the Congress. Don't let this happen again!"
Ambassador Lee Jai-Chun added, "The White House and the Washington Post doesn't know the true situation in Korea. We have sent messages through the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, but our messages have fallen on deaf ears. I wonder why the New York Times and the Washington Post have such an unfavorable image of the South Korean people and its government...."
Reverend Paul Kim stated, "The Moon Jae-In Administration is a democracy. It is subject to North Korea. His policies are very dangerous to the region. That is why so many people gathered to protest and demand the resignation of Moon Jae-In. Personally, I think that Moon Jae-In doesn't have much time left in office. He will face possible collapse and impeachment before the elections in April 2020"
